We all have questions, here are some answered for you
Why not a freelancer / agency?
Freelancers usually work on per project basis, and do not offer cohesive and complete design which includes branding, websites and product design. Agencies are large and slow, where speed is essential, they become a burden to manage.
Who makes the designs?
We are a studio of 2. xypnox is a developer turned designer, having worked at several startups and iterated over gazillion websites and products, Azil Zaneen is a multi-modal artist, with creative roots in graphic design, music and comics.
Do you also build the designs?
We do, but we charge for it separately. We do not include development in the subscription as the scale and technical complexity varies and cannot be represented in a fixed pricing structure.
Would I have to pay for assets as well?
No. We usually restraint ourselves to use the assets (fonts, icons, images etc.) that are free for commercial usage. Any additional costs are not added to the subscription.
What if I don't have requests anymore?
You can pause or cancel the subscription anytime, just like a normal service subscription. You can come back whenever you have more requests.
Why Async?
It allows us to handle multiple requests and prioritize as needed. Moreover, the communication serves as bedrock towards our shared understanding of a project, which can be referenced later and remain stable. So much of design can be lost in non-verbal cues which gets retained in clear messages.
